Buscemi Eyes

Last night I dreamt we stayed up all night, so when I woke I was tired. But a pair of Red Bulls and red eyes is all it takes for the nine to five.
So I'll mix a drink and I'll take a drag. Grabbing what there's to be had.
You know that dreams take place in real time? I bet you didn't, I bet you didn't. So, life must move in slow motion, 'cause I can't wait to get back to sleep.
So I'll mix a drink and I'll take a drag. Grabbing what there's to be had so I can,
Kill, kill, kill another minute until, til, til the day is finished and pick back up where I left off.

Too Much TV

Sped home after long hours.
And it's Monday night, no the lights aren't on, 'cause my bulbs are too burnt for blinking.
Yeah I'm staying in tonight.
But watching too much TV makes the world a scarier place.
Doesn't do much for me, another famous name and a face.
Some news controversy? I'd rather think about outer space.
'Cause watching too much TV makes the world a scarier place.
Switching gears, finish my beer.
No I don't want much, yeah I'm a simple man, but I tend to do lots of thinking.
Talk radio's my jam.
'Cause watching too much TV makes the world a scarier place.
Doesn't do much for me, another famous name and a face.
Some news controversy? I'd rather think about outer space.
'Cause watching too much TV makes the world a scarier place.
Stop pressing the buttons now, the picture does not get better.
Just follow the light and sound, I'll settle for whatever.

Ladders

Speeding, speeding, speeding
On my way to work.
Checking every side street,
Don't pull me over.
Gotta clock in, gotta clock in.
Product of my generation?
What's that even mean?
That I'm still working towards what's best and hoping for some luck?
Don't count me out just yet.
'Cause if that makes me lazy and you look down on me,
Then just forget me like a grain of sand underneath your shuffling feet.
And if you're climbing up the ladder, then just tell me what you see.
'Cause I'll just be making something for me and mine, and that's just fine with me.
Fine with me, and that's just fine with me.

Wrong Way, Ric

Sometimes you call the things you'd rather not think about forgotten.
Sometimes it's hardest just to think at all.
Completely exhausted, I'm sweating through my sheets.
Too crazy to sleep, too lazy to leave.
So I'm singing to myself.
No, don't need no one else.
Whoa, it's not as sad as it sounds.
No, just driving around.
Traffic lanes are just paint on the ground.
Right way, wrong way - fuck it, no one's around.
I drove past a house for sale I used to party in.
I don't miss it, I don't need it, I got my own thing now.
Don't ride my ass, 'cause I don't know where I'm going.
Pass me by and let me enjoy just not knowing.
